readingbeddingThaumagurist*TBM If someone offers you £1m or £5m, which would you take??!
I'd be happy with either.
You can have the 1m and I'll have the 5m, and we'll both be happy.
Great! Now, what shall I buy....?

Thaumagurist*TBMTheMaraudingDog LOL @ people who get mythed at why a player would want £xxxk a week.
It’s like saying why would you want to go from £22k a year to £24k. Or £40k to £50k so on.
It’s all relative no matter how much you earn, if you earn a bit more you can spend a bit more. Luxury yachts, private islands etc are just a couple of the things for example that the more you earn the better you can get.
Exactly!

Deathy I'd love it, love it, if Man City replaced CheLOLsea in the top four in the next few years.

Dirk Gently I'm with Jerry on this one.
And whilst they play their silly games of oneupmanship, it further drags wages and prices up throughout the rest of the pyramid.

Au contraire. I couldn't give a shiny shite whether one obscenely rich club usurps another obscenely rich club from the top 4. They're all as reprehensible as each other.

rabidbee You can't really control the fall out, though, and pretty much everybody gets contaminated one way or another.
Can we stretch this any further?

Mark Hughes We would like to think we could offer John a different challenge, he's been at Chelsea a long time and I know from my own experience as a player that when you have been with a club for a long time you get to a point when you think you need a new challenge and that a change of scenery would re-ignite certain things within you.
"It is not a question of finance, or money, it is about a different challenge, and John being at a different stage in his life and his career, and maybe that is why there hasn't been a response to commit himself to Chelsea because John is seriously thinking in those terms. I went through that process myself as a player and I can understand if that is the way he is thinking."
