So Smith wants to leave according to this report but there are no directed quotes to back this rumour up.


If he wants to leave why doesnt he submit a transfer request??


What's the point if they have already accepted a bid?

I thought that had been done away with (and wasn't it 5% to the player and 5% to the PFA ?)

Most players have a contract clause with loyalty (ha !) clauses that kick in if they are sold but are void if they request a move so it comes to the same thing .

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will know if the 'tax' on transfers still does apply...

Yes, it's the "loyalty clause" that every player has in their individual contract - I was over-simplifying....
