Interesting... I would be disappointed to see Harper leave this season. I feel the new system will get the very best out of Harps and I can see him having an excellent season this season. However if a bid comes in for £3m + I wouldn't blame the club or harps for accepting the offer. Do Arsenal have a sell on clause which would be triggered by a transfer?

Trying to find out how much it's likely to be for, but am I right in thinking he's out of contract next summer, so we might not get much more than £2m?

Not sure about Arsenal having a sell-on clause, but I would guess they have.

Edit: Apparently it is £2m

I still think that's a disgrace. We should try to re-negotiate with Arsenal to reduce this. We need the money more than Arsenal do.

I just don't like the idea of Arsenal profiting from it, especially when Harper left Arsenal such a long time ago (about 9 years ago!).

I reckon they would be ok with this, they will probably even throw in Wilshire to sweeten the deal.

I know its the dawn of a new era and all that, but I would be sad to see Harps leave. I think he will flourish in a team where he has the freedom to go forward - as appears to be Rodgers' way. I know he may only be a bit part player this season, but his energy coming from the bench could only be a good thing.

Agreed. I think he's lost his place to Tabb but should be more than adequate as cover. However, who could blame him for wanting more than that after serving the club so well for so long? Could be a good deal all round, even if we do only pocket 60% of the fee.

What is it with Wolves and our 106 squad??

Do you think they might decide that Kitson is worth a punt?

And Shorey?

Oh, and they are also thinking of a slight change to their home strip.......blue and white hoops.
