soggy biscuit Can anyone at BBCRB confirm something that a few of us have heard which is that Mick Gooding has been asked to tone down his accent to sound more local?
May sound ridiculous but a few of us here know some at BBCRB quite well and all the talk over the past few days has been of this request. Apparently they have received a few complaints from people not happy to hear a Geordie as an RFC commentator and so have asked him to try and sound more local. He is reported to be (understandably) unhappy with this but when faced with a choice of changing his accent or potentially losing his job he has agreed to it.

Upper West Ginger I usually enjoy his commentary, but his references to "Robson-Canoe" today made me chuckle.

Whistle After enough years of good old Mick can't we PLEASE have someone different. He's getting almost as boring as the dickheads texting from the car park.

Terminal Boardom Does anyone think that Mick's accent will be toned down this weekend? I think my radio will need subtitles!
