SteveRoyal Once the deal is finalised, I'm hitting the clubs.
We need to celebrate, surely?

Deathy Hunt gone by morning, Smith in by Saturday.

Done.

Do clubs open at 9am?

Smith in time for Saturday works for me. I feel as if I have been reborn!

I don't know, but we could break in just for laffs.

TBM
All the good he done was soon undone when he gave all those interviews saying how desperate he was to leave etc

it's like a girlfriend being nice to you for 3years but then cheating on you, spoiling everything.

Not only that but also saying that she will stay with you, give you the odd legover, yet still bugger off when the geezer with the flash motor waves a huge wad of dosh!

I can imagine he will shine for the first couple of games, then he'll hit the bottle to celebrate his fine form. This may then be proceeded by outbursts of i'm too good to be at a small club like Hull by Jan, and then self proclamation of the second coming by the end of the window, when he will no doubt be linked with Manchester and Chelsea before he rots in the reserves.

This is the best news i have heard all summer!

Although he was outstanding like the rest of the squad for the first year in the Prem. Amazing how money can turn someone into a grubby jumped up lazy git.

Platypuss
Deathy You have to laugh at HuLOLOL thinking this is a big signing.
You also have to laugh at how we're celebrating him finally going.

PhiLOL BROFLown
HuLOLOL City

If it's more than £1.5m then they have been well and truely raped. You just know it'll be something ridiculas like £3m though.

If they can get him playing like he did in our first Prem season, who'll be laughing at a fee of £2M?

Wise words Platters.

Still, brilliant news eh? Thank God.

Gordons Cumming How much has he cost Hull? Anyone know?

Hull is reasonably near Bradford. Funny if he went there on loan. :D

Quote from GetReading:-

Stephen Hunt looks to be on the verge of joining Hull City in a deal the Reading Post understands to be worth more than £3million.

Nice.

It now looks like Smith will be on his way as Malky Mackay feared. Probably at end of the month when Watford can hold out no longer. Smith's value will drop after that going into the next window. If they are going to lose him they'll want the most they can get.

3 million? I reckon I could make a fortune by going up to the KC Stadium, taking a dump on the pitch and try to flog it to them.

The Hull lads already have a link on the fansite and they think that we just have sour grapes and are making all of this up. They genuinely believe that Hunt has been waiting to play for Hull as they are a mega club, and that we will be sad to seem him leave!!!!!

It also says that Stoke were in to sign him yesterday and they have pulled off a right coup by signing him from under their noses!

:D :) :o

Good luck to SHunt if this comes off.

He epitomised everything about what made the club out-perform everybody's expectations in the 1st season in the PL.

Even since then when his form has been patchy and his gob has got him into hot water with RFC fans, he never failed to give 100% on the pitch and, for a while in both of the last 2 years, was our best player.

I for one, shall not forget his contribution to the best times this club has ever had.

I haven't read the whole thread but am I seriously alone in thinking this?

He also epitomised everything that was wrong with the club in the last couple of seasons.

But thanks Hunty for the good times.

Hunts 4 seasons with us - 1 non event season, used to cringe when he was subbed on. 1 really good season in Prem. 1 sh*t season in the Prem. 1 laughably bad season in the Championship.

Do Hull realise yet that he will demand a transfer every 1st Jan yet on 1st Feb will sign contract extension proclaiming love for the club?

The 1st 3 months of the 2nd PL season he was our best player. (Did he not get Player of the Season award?)

The first couple of months of last season he was our best player.
