Hunt WAS a good team player for us and then his own hype got to him, been linked with moves to Everton, Spurs and Sunderland and then when he felt the fans love for him had run out due to his performances he scampers off to Hole.
If it goes through then it shows that he has no ambition and just wants the status of 1 more year in the PL.
He would of been better off putting in 1 more good season at Reading and maybe someone better would of come in for him in Jan.
Anyway thanks SH for you endeavour you showed us in you first 18 months in the PL, but the time has come for you to move on as you have burnt your bridges here with your comments before the Brum game last season.

If he goes then he goes, but unless we get to spend any of the fee, then as a team we are no better off.

Royal Rother The 1st 3 months of the 2nd PL season he was our best player. (Did he not get Player of the Season award?)

The first couple of months of last season he was our best player.

+1

People have short memories. And he was never our worst player. Ever.

People must have short memories if they think he was our best player for a couple of months last season. A couple of halves, maybe.

Sorry Stephen, I obviously did not quite make myself clear last season, either that or you misheard me....I said "Hunt, go to HELL!"

Hopefully, the whole sorry episode can close and we can all move on. Have players at the club who WANT TO PLAY FOR OUR CLUB!

All the good he done was soon undone when he gave all those interviews saying how desperate he was to leave etc

it's like a girlfriend being nice to you for 3years but then cheating on you, spoiling everything.

Sure, but you can still recall with fondness the look on her face when she came (his goal celebrations), the time she sucked you off at the back of the cinema (his gloriously offside goal at Goodison) and when she stuck her finger up your arse (warming up in front of the spittle-flecked Chelsea fans on Boxing Day).

There's a lot to dislike in Hunt, but he was bloody effective pre-Christmas in the last two seasons. Plus, from what I've heard, his efforts in training, made Harper seem half-hearted. Unfortunately his mouth and form post-Christmas let him down. Let's hope it proves a great deal, for everyone concerned.

I'm still shocked at how happy the HuLOLLOL fans are! Wait until they realise how much money they're pissing away.

Perhaps they're looking forward to knocking Cech out.

Not unless we use some of this pikey money to buy a new striker to replace The Doyler. That has to be No.1 priority. Smith or Nugent please!

One of our best players of the last few years when in form.

BUT too much of an ego and not enough brains. A player who whilst trying to prove himself was so determined and confident in his play that everything came off for him. He tried pretty much anything and that frightens defenders, but he was never as skillful as he thought.

Once that determination and desire to prove himself lapsed post Xmas in both the last two seasons he lost his edge and stopped getting the rub of the green. Without that extra quality he put in hardworking but mediocre at best performances.

A player who truely did play above himself with us.

Good luck at Hull Hunty, you'll need it. But boy am I pleased you're finally off and for at least £1m more than I expected by the sounds of it.

As soon as we got to the premiership the money got to his head and he started thinking he was better than everyone else.
