Andy Hughes by a country, nautical or as the crow flies miles.

Though selling SHunt will, by far, feel the most relieving...like finally reaching the loo after feeling like bursting for hours...or something.

The Rouge Kits was £4m with the fee possibly rising to £5.5m with add-ons.... (prob goals/appearances/staying up and starting X games etc)

Was it not rising to £5.5 if they stayed up?

Shirley the biggest piece of robbery is that all those players sold in the last 24 months were sold for £26million and in return we have bought...................?!?!?!?

An ongoing argument and I must admit to being very proud to see the youngsters out there but time has some to break our transfer spend record for a 20 goal a season striker.

Andy Hughes every single time. £500k was an outstanding bit of business for a player who at the end of his Reading stay made Paul Brayson look like a tidy striker.

Sonko for me. Post Sheff Utd injury he was a complete liability - of all the pen's we conceded in the Premiership I'd imagine at least half, maybe three quarters were down to Sonk's. He didn't start last season any better and despite scoring a few managed to concede another penalty at Charlton before getting stupidly sent off.

I think we got £2 mill for a player whose concentration levels, positioning and timing in the tackle were dreadful. I expect his next move to be on a free. Tragic really as pre-injury he was pretty outstanding for us.

Blue and White Toucan but time has come to break our transfer spend record for a 20 goal a season striker.

Tommy Smith won't break our transfer spend record.

Fae, Cisse, Rosenior, Mooney, Bikey. That's about £10m if you think of Rosenior as £1.5m (what we paid for Seol).

Do we include Halford or Fae, really? They were both 'ins' before we started the 'asset stripping' if that's what you wish to call it.

Fae - £2.5m
Cisse - £650k?
Rosenior - £1.5m (for arguments sake)
Mooney - Buttons.
Bikey - £1.5m (very, very generous though I thought it was less...)
Matejovsky - £1.5m?
Kebe - Buttons.
Mills £1.5 (up to £2m)
NHunt £650k (I forget, tbh)
Stretch £300k?

There or thereabouts £10m...

£500k for Hughes was hilarious.

£3.5m for halford was outstanding, particularly as the reason we offloaded (apart from being sh1te) was an allegeged cocaine problem - something Roy Keane was not happy to find out about after the deal, hence a quick move on from there.
Whether this is true or not is another matter but it does makes sense, what with stories about him thinking he was a big time charlie; pun intended.

In the other direction, Simon Cox is looking to be probably the worst bit of business.

Jury is definitely out on that one at this stage. So far with the sell-on we've picked up a little under £1m for a player that never started a 1st team League game and has yet to prove himself at a level below that which we sold him from. I think he will do but at the moment you can't say for sure.

Sidwell going for nowt when Villa paid £5m a year later but even then you have to weigh up his impact on the team in finishing as high as 8th before he left.

CMRoyal
Jackson Corner Fae went for a lot less than we paid for him so we were robbed.

How much did he go for?

No-one knows. I've heard £2.3 quoted but I've also heard about 1/3rd of that value.

Fae and Halford, really, although I have a different set of standards to most of the slack-jawed retard brigade and consider a good signing to be one who actually plays in a Reading victory. :|

I thought the Grant Brebner deal was very strange, He just started to play well and bang off to Scotland for £650K.
As for the Biggest Robbery, Who did we unload Barn Doors Brayson to? Poor Bstards, Did we pay them? Is that why Mr Mad has no money for transfers?

Ive always wondered what or who was Sean Evers or Why? I can understand the logic behind finding another Pie man after Cask left, but Evers as far as I can understand was useless and didnt he cost 500k?
