Sonko for me. Post Sheff Utd injury he was a complete liability - of all the pen's we conceded in the Premiership I'd imagine at least half, maybe three quarters were down to Sonk's. He didn't start last season any better and despite scoring a few managed to concede another penalty at Charlton before getting stupidly sent off.

I think we got £2 mill for a player whose concentration levels, positioning and timing in the tackle were dreadful. I expect his next move to be on a free. Tragic really as pre-injury he was pretty outstanding for us.

£500k for Hughes was hilarious.

£3.5m for halford was outstanding, particularly as the reason we offloaded (apart from being sh1te) was an allegeged cocaine problem - something Roy Keane was not happy to find out about after the deal, hence a quick move on from there.
Whether this is true or not is another matter but it does makes sense, what with stories about him thinking he was a big time charlie; pun intended.

Jury is definitely out on that one at this stage. So far with the sell-on we've picked up a little under £1m for a player that never started a 1st team League game and has yet to prove himself at a level below that which we sold him from. I think he will do but at the moment you can't say for sure.

Sidwell going for nowt when Villa paid £5m a year later but even then you have to weigh up his impact on the team in finishing as high as 8th before he left.
