One Former Player you'd love to see back at Reading

by LoyalRoyalFan » 12 Aug 2009 18:05

Which former player would you love to see back in a Reading shirt or as a coach?

I'd go for Nathan Tyson or a long shot at Nicky Forster.

Jimmy Quinn as player, and for pure nostalgia reasons, Gilkesy.

Yes, but he was shit. He was one of the best true number 9's this club has ever seen though. His heading ability was supreme, very good on the floor, big, strong, and 40 goals a season at whatever professional level in his 30's is enough to make a man stand out.

I think Gilkesy fits into this very nicely actually, as we had a simple routine really that season. Gilkesy far post cross, Quinny header in. Simple really.
