Farewell's to Stephen Hunt

by SteveRoyal » 13 Aug 2009 11:01

I know the majority of Nobbers have expressed their dislike of him (as have Chelsea fans...), but I think it is important that we all say one final farewell to the sometimes brilliant and sometimes horrific winger, Stephen Hunt.

Allow me to be first:
Stephen, thanks for your services to this club. You know that you were inconsistent and for that many fans have got on your back for it, but you're contribution to our team over the past four years is memorable.

Now, piss off.

Madejski really should come out and say 'once again this shows our ambition to get back to the Premiership'

I'd believe him this time!

Bacon Double Cheese Good Boy

 That reminds me, saw him in Walkabout once after he'd scored a goal in a game that day and I told him he was a "good boy" for getting that goal. In my defence, I had consumed a vast number of drinks by this time.

Bye Stephen. Hope they give you a big enough parking space at Hull so you can manoeuvre your car slightly better than you can take free kicks.

I think the best goal I've ever seen him score was the one at Birmingham in the FA Cup replay back in the 2005/6 season. I can't remember many great goals that he's scored - they've all been tap ins and headers. Am I wrong?

HuLOLOL. Good choice hunt. Will you be moaning about moving on when YOU get them relegated with some of your crap performances next year?

And for people paying tribute to him- he hardly played in the 106 team- wasn't fit to lace conveys boots.

Convey is in America, having never recovered from his injuries sufficiently to be able to compete in the English League. Hunt only had one average season IMO. Running around a lot and hassling opposition players does not a good player make, you need to back that up with quality on the ball, and Convey had that in spades.

Convey on form >>>>>>>>>>>> Hunt on form.

We had some good times together but it was time to part ways. He came here on a free and we are making a tidy profit off of him. I bear him no ill will whatsoever. I wish Stephen Hunt nothing but the best.

Just heard him on SSN....cliche after cliche.

Sorry Stephen, you are a semi decent footballer who has benefited from his time at RFC and has generally contributed in the best two seasons that this Club has experienced..BUT

Get yourself a scriptwriter/Spin Doctor, because you really do come over as thick as pigshit.
