Can't ever remember going to a Reading game attended by 36k and the ground feeling empty. Really bizarre atmosphere. I think a few teams will go to St James's and pick up points this season. It's about as intimidating as my gran's sheltered housing, whatever the press have you believe.

As for Reading, this team is the very definition of inexperienced. We clearly have a lot of players with natural ability, but they were out-thought by Newcastle and just lack that streetwise attitude. Oh, and a decent forward.

And, finally, new season same old wakners following Reading away. People Sitting in the back row and demanding that people in front of them sit down. I really don't think other clubs have such ignorant tossers like this following them.

I'm fairly sure that most clubs have ignorant tossers who insist on standing in front of other people to ensure that their enjoyment of the game is ruined.

I am all tuckered out today after a heavy night on the Smirnoff Ices dancing to Bonny Tyler. Besides, I had a 25 minute teleconference with Alan Partridge right after the game in which we ironed out the rights-and-very-many-wrongs of this particular football match; we really should make these calls available to download as a Pod Cast or something.


On the subject of our mute fans - a good many of whom seem less capable of standing than Douglas Bader - I do have to wonder why someone would travel many hundreds of miles in which to watch a football match being broadcast on television only to utterly fail to interact with the experience.

Thank goodness i spent the weekend up there! I may have been feeling absolutely minging but i really can't recall four shots on target, at least i had more than four shots myself!!!

1st half was ok, thought we may of deserved to go in level but the 2nd half had about much idea as i did at 3am in the morning. How one of the previous posters said the 2nd goal was just a quality cross beggars belief. No tackle for a good couple of minutes, there you go lads take your time, we won't worry you and Bob's your uncle. Right side is a worry as Robson Kanu and Church don't look ideal there at the moment, i would suggest pushing Armstrong or Bertrand move up there if we didn't crossover our wingers. Won't be at Swansea but i dread to think how we'll score against Sheff U if we haven't done it come Tuesday.

On the point of the standing/seating, why didn't you just move? Plenty of seats to choose from and i happily stood up... when i could be botered to make the effort. Haven't been that hungover at a game for a while!

- our fans need to be segregated at away matches.
