Burnley maybe, but I think Wolves have probably got enough forwards to be going on with at the moment.

You never know though, but if they did, I'll get in before VM and suggest we try to nick Sam Vokes from them,

http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/ ... Smith_bid/

Watford have dismissed claims they accepted Reading’s final take-it-or-leave-it bid for Tommy Smith.

Reports today claimed the Hornets had accepted a new bid of around £1.5m for Smith after rejecting last week’s previous offer of £1.2m on Monday.

However, Watford are staying tight-lipped and refused to confirm they have received a new bid last night and insisted they were still considering the offer made by an “unnamed Championship club” last week.

With a bit of luck we will grind out a result on Saturday even if it means being put through the mill beforehand. Is it possible the club made a mistake in getting rid of Dill?

LOL at you amchur fans and your comic capers. Seriously though I think it would be of benefit to have an elder more experienced player in our team, and we could do with some more strikers since we got rid of the ginger.

Totally fooked off on this one!

I expect Tommy Smith will be as well - the guy obviously is a class player - but because of our tightness, his performances are now attracting other clubs that are probably far more willing to pay a more realistic fee for him than we are -

No goals this season - no goals on the horizon, a proven goal maker and scorer available for under £2m that could kick start our season and theres Egoman counting the coppers on the boardroom table only willing to offer half of his value.....he should think more about a further 20% drop in season ticket sales if our season continues and ends like it has started!!

And to be honest based on the reports and performances by Smith - the Watford board arent too far off the mark in his valuation either! - just that we are such a tight arse outfit we arent prepared to accept we may need to pay a bit more - so fooking short sighted and in some ways I hope Smith tells Egoman and his grapefeeder Hammond to shove it up their arses!
