Watford have dismissed claims they accepted Reading’s final take-it-or-leave-it bid for Tommy Smith.
Reports today claimed the Hornets had accepted a new bid of around £1.5m for Smith after rejecting last week’s previous offer of £1.2m on Monday.
However, Watford are staying tight-lipped and refused to confirm they have received a new bid last night and insisted they were still considering the offer made by an “unnamed Championship club” last week.

Terminal Boardom With a bit of luck we will grind out a result on Saturday even if it means being put through the mill beforehand. Is it possible the club made a mistake in getting rid of Dill?
