He then played out of his skin last season and should probably have won player of the season, has always been a solid performer for Liverpool and considering his position scores a handful of goals. Lucas has not managed to step up as a replacement so far, imagine that the Aquilani deal will see him replaced

Don't quite understand this one. He's in the last year of his contract - the Baggies have turned down 2 offers already - he hands in a transfer request - then he goes on loan.

What is stopping him from playing this season for Fulham then joining them for nothing in the summer? Do you think there is some kind of agreement in place for a fee to be agreed as the season progresses? I guess WBA can recall him from the loan should they see fit. Just strikes me as an odd deal.
