This is Reading Football Club.

We don't want pretty football, we want effective football.

Nothing wrong with the football we're playing. We just need some players who can score. When Shane Long is one of your best strikers, there's clearly a problem.

There is a problem with the football we're playing if we're not getting results

I know it's a cliche but football is a results business

Liverpool played the pass back rule to perfection but are remembered for being winners. We don't play winning football.

I'm not calling for a return to hoof ball :|

I'm on about good football where we use space effectively and play to our strengths with good penetration and plenty of chances.

NOT Pearce and Bertrand having a 1-2 with each other, then Federici and Rosenior having a 1-2, oh who shall it go to now? Pearce? Maybe to Cisse....then back to Mills

It's not so much to do with the personnel, more the mindset.

Although our lack of width is bemusing and amusing at the same time. In a system like the one we play, we need our full backs to bomb on and be wing backs. Bertrand certainly got forward today and has done on plenty of occasions but Rosenior doesn't do that often enough.

If Knee Jerking was an Olympic sport, most Nobbers tonight would be gold medal winners.

Incredibly, I've just read that as polishing his money and counting his cars.

Having read it that way I didn't even think it sounded wrong.
