Sunderland were bottom with no points after six games and still went up.

Not saying we will, but where we are now doesn't guarantee where we'll finish.

(No shit Sherlock - eh)

Did they have investment? Did they retain a large proportion of their experienced squad?

Actually, they changed their manager

I have no idea at all. Except that if they did keep them, then the 'experience' they had was being the worst team ever to grace the PL at that stage (enter Derby later to help them out)

Realistic Targets

by The Prisoner » 25 Aug 2009 23:10

We clearly need at least two experienced players. Forgetting the TS thing we now have a week to get them in. Presuming there is maybe 3m available for 2-3 players who do we think is realistic? who would we like to see?

I think Beckford from Leeds, Simeon Jackson from Gillingham and Campbell-Ryce from Barnsley. Would love to see Pompey repay the Smith theft by allowing Nugent out on loan. Any other ideas?

And before anyone moans I haven't put this in the unfounded rumours section as clearly this impacts on the team and is going to have to happen in some form.

The only Realistic Target I can think of is... the goal.

But no...

...our new hero, the saviour and manager of RFC is only interested in passing the ball around and trying to complete over 500 passes in the space of 90 minutes.

We spend more time passing back to Adam then pressing forward. The groundmen have a real easy task on the training pitch as we only actually use the 1st half of it.

I hate the "there are three teams worse than us" thing. esp after one of the candidates did us tonight!

Bit of contradiction going on here methinks.
