His agent being in America seems to be the issue.

Do you know what, even if Tommy Smith did turn around at this stage and say that he wants to join us I'd turn around and say "Thanks but no thanks Tommy, your indecision has been your downfall. We need players at this club who can make their mind up quickly. We don't need anyone who is gonna stall over a decision infront of goal and ultimately lose possession because we've got a whole team like that already. Now f*ck off and go warm Pompeys bench."

Maybe we should sign the agent, he seems to be having more of an effect from 3000 miles away than any of us can even at close range!

SSN reports that Tommy Smith medical at Portsmouth is scheduled for tomorrow.

Meanwhile Sulaiman Al Fahim has taken over sole ownership of Pompey, having exhibited proof of funds, so they can now acquire new players.

I really hate Brendan Rodgers. What an arrogant Cnut. And I don't really want him as our manager. This isn't knee jerk. I think he's a pr*ck.

I hate the fact he said that about Smith. I hate the fact he talks and talks and talks with nothing behind it.

I also hate the fact that Watford fans now hate us.

(I will take all of this back if he starts to do well of course, am just annoyed and used to the relaxed, calm management style of Sir Steve who wouldn't have ballesd up this transfer, would have been honest and quiet until he knew Smith had come to us).

Do you always have to have the medical before agreeing personal terms? I mean, he passed our medical, so he can't be crocked or anything.

No,. it's usually the other way round. Agree terms then check there's no medical problems as the last thing before the actual signature - otherwise teams would be doing unnecessary medicals all the time.

I have heard that this whole transfer idea was a great big scam to try and convince Watford that their money problems were coming to an end. The press conference was going to present Nicky Hammond about to squirt Tommy Smith in the eye with a plastic flower in his lapel. By the magic of the internet, here is a pic of him on his way to the press conference (note the hoops!).

Insurance will mean they have to conduct their own.

I'm hoping on Hart getting sacked tonight will the new owner bringing in someone like Sven, who then pulls out of the Smith deal.

I'll get my straws....

So, why didn't he sign for us straight after his medical? And more to the point, shirley this now indicates that he's agreed personal terms at Pompey, or he wouldn't be bothering to have a medical there.
