Ian Royal
Royal Lady You want to sack him after 10-15 games?? Even I would give him a season.

Where did I say I wanted to sack him? I said there was plenty of time to sack him and turn it around if necessary. If we've scored 4 goals after 15 games and got 8 draws and 7 losses with 8 points and a goal difference of -18 then a sacking may well be required.

Try engaging your brain before responding.

Ian Royal Plenty of time to turn it around and even more time to sack Rodger's and still stay up if it carries on like this into 10 - 15 games.
You see, from that earlier quote, as highlighted, I took it to mean that you would be looking to sack Rodgers if our "form" (if you can even call it that) carried on as it is into 10-15 games.

There really really is no need to be quite so condescending however.

He has certainly talked the talk, but so far he's failed to walk the walk.

But is it reasonable to expect all the pieces to fall into place in just 6 games?

Not expecting all the pieces to fall into place, but maybe a glimmer of hope.

I felt more excited about our young players last season rather than this season.

Of course not. Reasonable to expect rather more than has currently though.

Inability to create or score chances, combined with little attacking flair and significant defensive frailties, is not a great combination.

Well certain online bookies have stopped taking bets on us actually winning a game.

Noo, we were the club that had it all and threw it all away.

The only bets you can place on RFC is the goals that we're going to lose by.

I hope that this so called manager is taken to task at this STAR AGM, and I tell you something, if Thou Voice was there I would openly stand up and tell these fools how bad they are.

You have the opportunity to do so .... or do you just talk the talk?

My question would be how many of the players still have their manuel sat in the boot of their car having never been read?

How many footballer's have ever read such a manuel?

Does he feel it has gone over the head of most people within the club?

But seriously, was this manual actually ever aimed at the footballers? Surely it was aimed at the coaches at all levels?

Thats because despite what some might think Coppell knew what was best for the development of those players at that stage.

Rodgers has been so upbeat and positive (and plenty have lauded this change in attitude) that he's heightened expectations of their ability beyond that which they are currently at.

I'm being a twat to be honest.

Just I don't like all the talk that comes from Rodgers. Maybe I'm a bit old school about things. A great man said 'Football's a simple game made complicated by those who should know better.' Rodger's still has a long time ahead of him, does he need to tone it down a bit. He's doesn't have Jose charisma.

Personally, I agree with you - he is a bit too full of himself for my liking.

Complete opposite of Coppell in every way really.

I so wished that the club would give Coppell some sort of role still within the club. He could have mentored Rodgers a bit - or something.

I can't contain my lethargy at the prospect of a Hammond/Rodgers dream team.

I doubt Coppell would have gone for it.

He wanted a break from the club/football. Things like that never work out anyways...

Yes, I'm sure you're right - but I really miss Steve's steading influence.

Yes, because someone with £320 million needs to take money out of his football club and use it to buy fancy taps and electronic curtains!!
