Think they've got just the player. He's Irish too, goes by the name of Alan Bennett. SIGN HIM UP

Poor old Pompey! the football authorities have such a wonderful record for assessing "fit and proper persons" to run football clubs don't they? The "Madejski out" out at any cost types should be careful what they wish for imho There's an old saying that says "When you sit down to sup with the devil you'd best use a long spoon" and I think there may be some truth in that!

Exactly i'd rather know we don't have any real hidden agendas why he wants to take over. Madejski has been here for 20+ years and showed he know how to look after a club. Maybe he is over cautious but i'd prefer that, than someone who ruins the club.

AE should be closed down, and this thread should be the location for all other business.

Well to put this into some sort of perspective, Smith has a medical with Reading on Monday, it takes us 24 hours to iron out a contract for him and then Pompey come in. He goes to Pompey for a medical today (news on if he passed it, or it actually happened?) and still they don't have a signature. Thankfully there is still only the two nids in for him, and it could now go either way with Pompey apparently now having billionaire ownership... Suddenly Pompey may have bigger fish to buy.

Tune in tomorrow.

Yep, that's a fair summary...

...what's a "nid"?
