BR2 I know at my advanced age my memory isn't too good but didn't Coppell do just that in going back for Sidwell?

Durrrrrrrrr, you are getting old. It was Pardew who signed Sidwell and it was from Arsenal, not Brighton!

A suggestion, you could perhaps check out soccerbase.com to confirm what you thought before posting.

Thanks for the advice Spacey.
IIRC Sidwell was on loan at Brentford and Coppell then took him (Brentford's best player) to Brighton so although Pardew signed him as a player still registered at Arsenal Coppell had previously gone back to his former club to get their best player.

Deathy Mass Sarr > Jimmy Kebe

Yep, his butt really was that big!

What an awful kit that was. Forgot we had the shaded hoops with the new logo...

I watched Sarr quite a lot, and don't remember him being that good...

He wasn't THAT good, but he was entertaining. He could do some tricks, drop a shoulder, beat his man repeatedly, but not much else, and was far to unfit. Great value though.

Still better than Kebe.

Wrexham away and Luton at home showed us what Sarr COULD do (if he wasn't too busy trying to out-do our Dazza in the pie-eating departments)

It was the best bit of skill I've ever seen - 2 defenders in front of him he lifted the ball over them and run onto it, leaving said defenders entirely red faced!

Indeed, I wish we had such a player now, if only to try and change the game for 15 minutes

Think Legg is still playing tbf, some player manager for a Welsh club :D

Wasn't he one of those 'cast out' by Burns along with Jamie Lambert etc?

At the age of 42, Legg was part of the Llanelli side that shocked SPL side Motherwell in the first qualifying round of the Europa League in July 2009.[4]

Andrew "Andy" Legg (born 28 July 1966 in Neath) is a Welsh International footballer who is currently player-manager of Llanelli. He has previously played for Swansea City, Notts County, Birmingham City, Ipswich Town, Reading, Peterborough United, Cardiff City and Newport County. He was known for having the longest throw-in in football, being able to regularly throw the ball over 30 metres. He once held the world record with 41 m.

As assistant manager to Steve Bleasdale at Peterborough United he featured briefly in the TV series Big Ron Manager alongside Ron Atkinson and Barry Fry. Legg left Peterborough when a tumour was found on his neck in 2005. The operation to remove it was successful and Legg was able to return to football, despite having believed that he would be forced to retire.

Legg joined Conference North side Hucknall Town, having started the 2006/07 season at Llanelli. In January 2007, he was appointed manager of Hucknall Town. He remained manager until September 2007, when he resigned following six consecutive defeats at the start of the 2007-2008 season.[1] He returned to play for Llanelli,[2] and was appointed manager of the side in April 2009, where he would replace Peter Nicholas.[3]

At the age of 42, Legg was part of the Llanelli side that shocked SPL side Motherwell in the first qualifying round of the Europa League in July 2009.[4]

I say sign him up, he's got experience after all ;)

I also remember Mass Saar at the Madstad, lifting the ball with a flick ala Gazza against the Scots stylee, a player with sublime skill on occasion, but I think he actually ate Caskey at a pie eating contest by mistake!

Royals director of football Nick Hammond told the Chronicle: "I think it's quite clear the deal has gone away from us now and Tommy will sign for Portsmouth.

"It's disappointing but there is nothing we can do about it."

F*ck off Hammond. You useless twonk

Yes, agreed. There is nothing you can do about it now. You should have done something weeks ago, you Tintin-shaped pcunt.

Dirk Gently
Forest Gump Yet again the club has not covered itself in glory. This time not only do we sound like amatuers we also appear to be taking advantage of Watford as a struggling club.

JM be careful who you step on while climbing the ladder because you'll pass them again on the way down.

How can you blame the club? How is this any different from us stealing Shunt from under the noses of Bradford City?

How can you NOT blame the club more like? Shunt was a free agent so fair game.
We could have had Smith weeks ago simply by paying the going rate. We now look like a bunch of penny pinching muppets.

When he/we didn't have the money from the sale of Hunt to do anything about it?
