loyalroyal4life I really hope this is not the end of the signings and we actually get some more firepower in!!

You're going to be disappointed I suspect.

Rasiak, Hunt and Long plus the youngsters is quite enough.

Ideal
Alan Partridge Who were you expecting Reading to sign RL?

I would have expected us to at least show some ambition.
For example:
Jermaine Beckford - not proven at this level
Simeon Jackson
Jimmy Abdou
Charlie Lee (twice in a row player of the season for Peterborough)

Rasiak - proven at this level.

great one.

Gus the teenage cow i hope rasiak and mcanuff play consistently well over the season and drive Reading on a promotion charge making my predictions about how limited both players are look ridiculous

Let's be sensible and realistic, I mean there are limits on how far the scale of ridiculousness can stretch.

Polish International Grzegorz Rasiak has signed a transfer deal from Southampton to the English second level Reading FC.

(.)Boobies(.) Clueless fool. McAnuff does blow hot and cold, but Kebe blows cold and cool, cold and cooler. Have you even looked at Rasiak's goal scoring record? These are two decent signings for us (if true) and do improve the team!

Im going to be laughing myself to sleep tonight if anyone on here seriously thinks that McAnuff is a decent signing. All I can say is, thank you very much for taking him off our hands!

Tbf Judas Todgers did get the 'best' out of McAnuff but even then he wasnt anything to write home about and the few appearances he's made for us this season he's been woeful, not to mention that he's also looked less than match fit. McAnuff does have ability but he very rarely shows it - more often then not he's lazy, lacks guts and any sort of application.

If BR can get any sort of form from him then he might not be a bad signing but I suspect he will be more like the player us Watford fans saw week in week out. Kebe MK2.

Rasiak's potentially a good signing though. He did well for us and has an eye for goal. He has two big flaws in his game though - he's very very very slow (seriously, people can walk faster) and fitness wise he wasnt able to play the full ninety minutes while on loan with us (another brynar in that sense). Its odd that BR has signed him tbh - when Rodgers first came to Watford he didnt rate Rasiak and dropped him from the team.

howser Well these two signings certainly show the ambition of the club !!

yeah ambition for championship survival when you have clubs like QPR signing jay simpson on loan

Jay Simpson is a quality loan signing, shame under magilton, he'll spend most of the time bench warming.

Oh no, you mean Watford fans are being negative about someone BR has signed.

Christ, Rodgers ain't thick, he's worked with them before and knows what they're about, if he didn't think they'd add something to the team then he wouldn't have signed them.

And with a squad of little premiership experience we managed to finish 8th! Silly argument.

Yep, I'll go with the professional opinions over a bunch of fans who don't like us or Rodgers anyway.

Please give me a definitive list of all the other options he had. Ta.

Panic buying a la Tommy Burns. Seriously long season ahead. Finishing in 21st poition this season has got to be a considered a success. The bold plan must be to survive this season, hope the kids can progress next year to finish lower/mid-table, and then kick on to challenge at the bottom of the play-offs come the end of 2011-12.

If this tactic of selling virtually every player with more than 50 RFC starts, and stacking the side with 19/20/21 year olds who must be on no more than £500/w each comes off, Mr Mad and BR will be acclaimed across the football world as Gods. If it doesn't, we will slip back to lower league obscurity, playing in front of crowds of 5-6k, with the Upper West, North and South stands regularly closed. It doesn't bear thinking about, it really doesn't.

So Mr Mad - egg on face or Footballing God - wouldn't want to be in your shoes frankly!!

3 points on Saturday please gentlemen - just to restore a little prode and faith!!

C'mon UURRRRZZZZZZ!!!!

A comment from a Watford fan....

So how much money have we got in this summer to date? Can someone add it all up as I am fast losing track of it all. It must be close to £5 Million now!

What is it going to be used for?

By how many has the squad reduced by from the end of last season?

Fans Forum on th 10th going to be interesting night though. Think I might get me a ticket as there are so many questions to ask!!!!!!

No good being the most solvent club in the league but at the bottom of it!

You gotta laugh.

And another couple.

Well I am a fan of some of our young players but like Southampton last season we cannot just rely on them (or a few loan signings)

Agreed. We are going down
