PremAddict Predictions:

Forest: Home
Newcastle: Away
Swansea: Away
SU: Home
Barnsley: Away

Oh ok, I'll bite:

Nervy on first match - no score - seems like old times.
Newcastle: Magpies lose away to Albion and then, finally used to their horrible yellow away stripe, confuse ours with theirs and allow us to get behind the back 4 multiple times for a goal fest. Win.
Swansea: Even without Martinez, lots of passing, little scoring. Each club will have 55% possession. Draw.
Sheffield: Glen Little scores winner - for us. Doh!
Barnsley: Players forget to show due to boredome. Draw.

Easy: 9 points.

All happening according to my plan. muahahahahahahahaha

well better result than I predicted, but I'm not sure I can see us winning unless we actually try to score for more than the odd 5 minutes.

Compo's Hat We have five league games before the first international break of the season and we'll need some points on the board but it won't be easy.

For the record i think it'll go...
Forest: DRAW
Newcastle: LOSE
Swansea: WIN
Sheff U: LOSE
Barnsley: WIN

So that would be 7 points which is the minimum i would hope for. 10 points would be a fantastic return i feel for an unknown 'era' that we're going into.

so compo, no chance of 7 points

Ian Royal loss
win
draw
win
draw

8pts

Early season is likely to be where we're weakest, so anything better than 4 pts from the first 5 is ok by me, or 12+ from the first 10.

I think from there we'll see us start to kick on a bit. And maybe fade towards the end of the season, finishing 6th - 12th.

no chanceon the 8 points but I certainally hope early season is where we'reweakest!

2 points from 4 so we need to win away this weekend to get better than 4 from 5

Tilehurst End With the new team and style I'm not expecting a win until Doncaster at home, but would be delighted to be proved wrong.

you could well be right!

First 5 games = Tick! Would have preferred a better start and / or the win to come a little earlier in the sequence, but that's ok.

Just don't expect us to start shooting up the table. It's still early days and one win against a poor team doesn't solve all of our problems. We still haven't won a league game at home since the end of January.

Rodgers said that he felt that the fifth game was like the end of pre-season.

Next year is there any chance we could finish it before the season starts?
