There is no logical reason for Rosenior to go, other than to trim the wage bill. Even if Rogers 'doesn't like him', Julian Kelly cannot be a better option. This is just ridiculous.

West Stand Flash But this is all pointless chatter until we, Sheff Utd, Ipswich or the FA confirm these deals.

Yet again Reading FC are involved in laughable situations. Becoming rather frequent under Rodgers hey??

It's unlike me to bite, but you really are an idiot.

Harper gone - good, he's shit

Rosenior gone - good, he's shit

Can't be many left with residual premier league wage packets now, excellent work RFC.

Oh yeah, you do need to sign a right-back though. Please don't forget.

Has and can he play there???? Interesting if so as he can push forward too, 5 across the back looks more and more likely IMHO

Would certainly rather see him there than Kelly, think Davies played there in pre-season.

If Plastic and our playing right back get injured or suspended during the Donny game, what options do we have?

If there's anyone left in the academy, one of them will be asked to step up and play.

Well, assuming we are signing a 'mystery' right back, they'll actually be better than before yesterday...

Full backs...

BEFORE:

Rosenior
Bertrand
Armstrong (inj)
Kelly (inj?)
Bryn (cover)

AFTER:

New Right Back (hopefully)
Bertrand
Armstrong (inj)
Kelly (inj?)
O'Dea
Bryn (cover)

Why is everybody so impatient on here?

It's very unedifying. All will be revealed in due course.

Even though the he prefers a more central position, the Republic of Ireland Under 21 hopeful, who scored 13 goals in 41 appearances for The Shots last season, can also do a job as a make-shift right-back.

Deadlock
Barry the bird boggler My guess is theye are waiting for all the paperwork to be confirmed by the FL, as the deals for Harper, Rosenior and any new right back are loans the clubs involved will feel there's no particular rush as these can be rubber stamped next week when the loan window opens.

One teeny weeny problem with this. As Platypuss pointed out many pages ago, season long loans had to have been completed by 5pm yesterday. When the emergency loan window opens next week players will be allowed to go on loan for a maximum of 90 days.

Which would all but take us up to the next window at which point deals could be made to be a window to window loan if needs be.

Jem played right back in Pre-season also...but if the new guy is a right back, and we assume he is, it's aaaaages until the next game anyway.

Don't panic Mr Mainwaring! :P

I didn't disbelieve you.

However, is a make-shift right back better than a full-time one? Other than Kelly, of course...
