The "I don't really care thread"

by rhroyal » 13 Sep 2009 16:20

Madejski is only interested in money. Rodgers is crap. We may go down. Bring back Coppell. Our attendances are falling. I don't agree with half of this, but the point of this thread is indifference. If you're still going to support your team and try and make as many matches as possible regardless of all the negativity, say it on here. I read so many negative and pessimistic posts. I've come to the conclusion, so what? Were I living nearer Reading I'd have a season ticket for sure and I'd take as much enjoyment as possible from it regardless of the circumstances. For the record I'm currently in Hong Kong and wasn't going to let football deny me this opportunity, but once university is finished a season ticket from London is on the cards, and that will be the case whatever division we're in.

I'm not reading all that.

But I also don't really care either.

Ever since January, I haven't enjoyed watching a game. I go purely out of habit. Reading FC isn't worth £50 of my money in the space of 4 days, so they can get stuffed for Cardiff.

oxf*rd atmosphere.
oxf*rd formations.
Too many changes every week.
One fooking isolated striker.
No width.
No crosses into the box.
Jimmy Kebe makes Andy Hughes look like Paul Gascoigne.
Rodgers I like, but he's getting boring about "the goals will come". Maybe if you went 4-4-2 they would yeah.

The formation is a massive problem. Rodgers say's it is a 4-4-3. However it looks more like a 4-5-1.

Im only going to cardiff as THEY make it a good atmosphere and there is a chance they might cause some controversy.

Reading fans as usual will be watching on and admiring a top away support.

if you had to pick 1, why pick the one we would not be favourites to win?

LoyalRoyalFan Rodgers say's it is a 4-4-3.

well oxf*rd me sideways, if that is what the manager is trying to play our problems are bigger than i thought!

i think so far I have seen

3-5-2
4-1-4-1
4-3-3
4-4-2
4-4-1-1
4-5-1
4-1-3-2
4-1-2-1-2

but i can honestly say i have yet to see 4-4-3

I think you will find that we are favorite to win against Cardiff.

We are 11/8 as opposed to 8/5!!!

All I keep seeing is one man up front seeing feck all of the ball, and no width.

It has to be 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 IMO. This so called 4-3-3 sucks.

On saturday it was 4-2-3-1. 4 across the back with TWO oxf*rd defensive holding midfielders (Karacan and Gunnar) giving the back 4 cover!!!! - (AGAINST oxf*rd DONCASTER?!?! Not oxf*rd Liverpool or Chelsea, oxf*rd DONCASTER!!!). Kebe ( ) and Sigurdsson were supposed to be giving us width with Howard playing behind Hunt.

Result?? Total and utter oxf*rd isolation of Hunt, Howard working his nuts off trying to get things going in the middle, Sigurdsson working the wings manfully (even though he's an attacking central midfielder a la Lampard) and the non-footballer doing more to break up what attacking plays RFC DID create that the Doncaster midfield!!!

In the meantime, the only RFC player who appears capable of crossing (Tabb, as evidenced by his crossing with both left and right foot during the warm up), is left kicking his heels on the bench.

RODGERS - GET YOUR ARSE UP TO THE TOP OF THE EAST STAND FOR A CHANGE!!! YOU'LL ACTUALY BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON ON THE FIELD FROM UP THERE!!!!

I mean FFS!!!!

Roll on Wednesday!!!

Steady Strap, you know what the Doctor told you about getting worked up :D

I don't really care any more, I'm a season ticket holder and will keep going regardless of what division we are in, I will watch that turgid dross on the pitch week in week out, the new lad with his Fisher Price 'My First Tactical Bible' and 'My First Media Quotes' books, the players trying hard but not knowing what they are supposed to be doing, and then I will whine about it on here like everyone else.

This will carry on for a while, then Rodgers' head will be called for ever more vehemently until he resigns, then we really will be in the cack.

Then we will all care a bit more.

AND.... despite that there were still long balls played in the air down the middle to Hunt who, despite being short, manged to flick on a fair percentage but to who? Obviously nobody; there usually wasn't a Reading player within half a pitch of him.
