Robin Friday's against either Exeter or Doncaster in 1974 or 1975 (the first time I can remember seeing a Reading player curl the ball - and it was one of the first games to be played on a Sunday afternoon because of the Fuel Crisis. Little things please little minds!)

One of Nicky Forster's against Ipswich - Inch perfect 40 yard pass from Harper, wonderful finish from Forster.

Stevie Richardson away at Ipswich - started and finished the move. Celebrated like it was the only goal he ever scored (think he scored twice in his Reading Career)

Robin Friday and ~that~ goal against Tranmere.

Nogan at Wem-ber-lee - one of the best goals ever scored at the old ground.

And, for those that were there, Holsgrove's - yes, ~that~ Paul Holsgrove, at Ayresome Park in a 1-0 win.....

And a sub spot for Blakey with the chip at Plymouth. Class.

I remember that! I was there. At the time, our highest ever finish to a league season - 13th in Div 2

Any suggestions for best team goals? I'll start the ball rolling with Lloyd Owusu's effort against Ipswich in 03/04 season and Nicky Forster's effort against Millwall (2-0 win) in the 02/03 season.

In terms of quality of finishing, very few will match Jimmy Quinn who scored so many different types of goals in the same quality manner.

Another goal I haven't seen mentioned was Nicky Forster's effort at Preston in 2000, a great individual effort against a good side at that level at the time.

Steve Richardson also scored away at Peterborough in 91/92, a game we lost 5-3. That was a good goal too, but it is always eclipsed in mind by David Lee scoring on debut for us and then in his own net.

That might have been Jim Leighton's Royals debut as well.

A through ball from Gilkes. Holsgrove was playing quite well at that point in his career. For that game I was standing next to some balding guy who was a dead ringer for Dungeon Master.

I love Convey's against Milwall. Perfect running.

Forster (the best lone striker we ever had, certainly in my time) scored some belters. I forget the games but I remember him scoring two very similar solo run goals, Preston and possibly Milwall again, where he picked the ball up just in the oppositions half, running like crazy, beating a couple of men and doing his trademark diagonal shot into the corner.

Igoe got a couple of beauties in a purple patch in 00/01 or 01/02 and Caskey in his 20 goal plus season scored a belter from outside the area (in off the bar shot - always tasty).

Ian Richarson's own goal was pretty impressive as well.

Recently, Soul's (sic) cracker against West Ham was something else just because I'd mouthed off because he was "pissing about with the ball" from the free kick

Dylan Kerr against Stoke anyone?

1- Forster against Preston when he ran about 80 yards from his own half beating a couple of players on the way.(Although he did score quite a few like that against them).

2- Convey against Millwall in the Record breaking Championship winning season

3- Owusu against Wigan in a 1-1 draw. Little crossed the ball and it hit the net like a bullet.Best headed goal I've ever seen.

Good shout. It was Doncaster in 74 and it was on a Sunday afternoon. Robin curled one in from the left hand corner of the box at the Town end. Ended up 5-0.

A few more I can remember

2005/06: Preston Away (Both of Lita's goals were quite tasty, especially Convey's 35yd ball to drop to his half volley)
Millwall Away (Lovely passing game, Murty flicking it in, Doyle holding onto it, turning and chipping it, and Sidwell thumping it to the corner)
Hull Home, Doyle flicking it over the defence, Convey running on and putting it around the keeper.
Palace Away too, Harper's little flick which Lita caught onto to half volley in.
Burnley Away, Convey's volley? Ow!

2006/07: One of my favorites from Lita was against Chelsea in the 2-2 at their ground, Little played a lovely little chip, and Lita almost fell to the floor to head it... such a perfect little move and fast.
