But who would we replace him with?

I voted no.

Sounded like a terrific performance tonight. It's all coming together nicely.

I have missed less than 20 League and Cup matches since 2001 and I've now lost faith.

Rodgers OUT
Madejski OUT

Parkinson IN

He did say that we spend again if we needed to. I think it's clear that we need a 20+ goals a year striker to get us out of the current mire, and more work on the likes of Cummings.

Royalee
Ideal I say he has to go! Inept tactics, not enough experience, we'll get relegated with this joker in charge.

Piss off.

Change your bloody avatar.... it makes me feel all deflated, but comforted by the knowledge that you will never score against me.

Not at all Rax. Best performance of the season. It augurs well for the future. Goals will come. Keep your head. Oh and Thames, you are a joke.

Ideal Outplayed?
Before the sending off: US: 3 shots on target, THEM: 5 shots on target
Total at full time: US: 6 shots on target, THEM: 5 shots on target

So during 60 minutes of play 11 on 11, we produced THREE shots on target. And they produced five.
During 30 minutes of play 11 agains 10, we managed to produce another WHOPPING THREE SHOTS on target.
Wow, it sounds like we were REALLY dominating, REEEEALLLY MASSIVE domination.

Totally wrong, but nevertheless if you want to make up stats to fit your thesis then fine.

The reports on Gillette tonight seemed to give the impression that we played well, but lack the cutting edge of a striker, full confidence in BR, after all whoever came in was going to have these problems, the fault lies with Mr Ego "tightarse" wanting to rid the club of anyone worth anything and the high earners. This is what we have been left with and probably the best man to see us through this transition,

The problem is, we DO dominate games we just very rarely look like scoring.

Our "domination" tends to be passing backwards around the centre circle.

Ideal Numbers gathered from sportinglife, so don't try and make it out like I am making them up.
Typical underhand tactics from you, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Funny because on the BBC after 70 mins we had 5 SONT, and 4 SOFFT.

Ohh RR my friend - I'm trying but this is awful, it's like a return to the bad old days when I tried to convince myself that Meaker was a quality player!

I've nothing against Rodgers and (despite my rants on other threads) feel he could do well - but he's a fish out of water at the mo - and the team sadly reflects that.

Some of the decisions made by him are frankly, I'm sorry to say are misguided at best, inept at worst.

And the sending off came at approximately 60 minutes of play, right?
I don't see what your point is, sportinglife and BBC may report slightly different, but the gist of it is pretty much the same - THEY had more shots on target AND more shots off target THAN WE DID, BEFORE THEY HAD A MAN SENT OFF.
And then even with one man more, we struggled to really create any significant number of shots ON target.

No it came after 79 mins.

It's pointless getting rid of Rodgers now.

who would the Madman replace him with ?

He was appointed because the remit for the job was " there's no money for new players you must sell £10m worth of players and you have to use the kid's who are already on the books........ do you want the job?"

He said yes

Go away Ideal, any rational person who was there tonight will admit we were very unlucky, created lots of chances, forced their keeper into 3 or 4 cracking saves and deserved to win. We're improving, not watching the game on Sky Sports News will tell you much in your case.
