BRENDAN RODGERS' BARMY ARMY!

by Millsy » 19 Sep 2009 17:14

I was right about Parj coming good when most of you wanted him out.

I was right about Coppell being our best ever manager, before he even started, when the board was still lamenting the loss of Parj.

And I would love to gloat about my ranting and raving about Brendan being the wrong man for this job...

but I'm not going to because to say anything now either way is far too early. He's only just putting the squad together so to be happy about an odd win or angry about an odd defeat at this stage is stupidity. His record is promising. He may well come good. And until he does I hope you'll all join me in chanting his name to give him and his boys a lift...

His record where is promising? I presume you mean Watford. Because his record here so far is absolutely woeful.

Nothing wrong with being happy about winning or angry about losing.

And as for being a barmy army, most of us would prefer a cup of tea.

altogether now,

Pants, Pants wherever we may be,
We're only a shadow of the old R-FC
We're on skid row
Which is plain for all to see
And Brendan Rodgers
Ain't the man
The man we thought he'd be

I'm still backing Rodgers. It's a shame his sodding Chairman didn't do so in the transfer window.

Come on Brendan, pull of the miracle.

I'm 100% behind Rodgers and the team... i've seen a lot worse performances from a Reading team that what I'm watching from this team at the moment!

What's the point of looking at what he did there, when his current results are what count and we're, basically, rubbish?

I can just imagine the ferocity of the RTG responses on here if that is sung next week

" you are all disgraces"

" shamed the club"

HNA would make for some great viewing.

Guys and girls I was one of the angriest and most upset people here at Coppell leaving and even more angry and upset at getting someone like BR in instead of Curbishley etc so you're preaching to the converted and I would LOVE to get all gloaty.

BUT I cannot hand on heart say BR is the wrong man based on what we've seen already even though it would make me look all smug right now. There's just no evidence to back it up other than a topsy turvy starting period which, to be fair, is to be expected with a new manager. It's going to take many more games to rebuild a team FFS. There's EVERY chance of him coming good.

And I will do everything I can to make sure he does.

Brendan, Brendan he's our man, if he can't do it (on such limited resources) no-one can.

Sounds good don't it?

its time to bring coppell back as he was made for reading. he find very cheap player,s
and make the club money and keeps them at the right end of the table.

I really don't think Coppell would want to come back. But I agree, if he did want to, he'd be the best one to help us improve, with or without Rodgers at the helm.
