Ryn
floyd__streete 15,697 on Saturday, not many more expected on Wednesday night.

Has anyone got the number for Birse Construction? I think someone should give them a call and let them know.

Are we contacting them to take one quarter of the stadium down?

No need to go that far, perhaps we can just shut the North Stand.

Sloppy pitch could be a problem.

That'll be because we always come second when we play at home

Bumped

"Lest We Forget"

Imagine the extent to which our cloth would be being cut had we invested 15,000,000+ on several thousand empty seats.

Jeez Schards; have you really got NOTHING better to do than dredge this up?? I suggest you might want to consider getting a life sometime soon!!!

Incidentally, when we watch World Cup games in 2018 at Milton Keynes and Plymouth, don't you dare come on here and say "why couldn't Reading have got games??"

20 seconds of my time to remind people of the follies of the past, in the hope that they may learn from them, is time well spent.

I seem to recall some on here asking why we did not invest in players in the summer of 2006, as fans had been asked to put money in to compete at the highest level. What a folly that would have been in 2006, with hindsight.

The stadium expansion would only have been a bad idea given we went down. If it had gone ahead and we'd stayed up it could easily have been a success.

It's certainly the next logical stop for the club when we get promoted to the top flight next time.

Personally I always believe that we can move up from the league we are in, and I also believe that we can fall to the division below, but to be a Prem team you need a Prem ground, and when you compare ours, we are not really in the top 20 in the country, we are just, Swindon/Bristol/Ipswich and a few others that built nice stands in the 70/80's, of which I was always jealous.

We hopefuly are not in the top 40, but not much more really.

There are so many different sides to this debate. Just like there are many different flavours of condom. Condoms come in all different flavours nowadays. There's strawberry and curry and that. Do you like curry?

Why not let the club do what they think is best? Trust people and they'll be true to you. Treat them greatly, and they will show themselves to be great.

If Sir John can't improve his margin and his volume sales with or without making people laugh, then him and I are going to have to have a very serious chat.

I can show you a line of "people" vs "time" and "where does the line go?" Yeah...

Does seem a little daft to argue that moving to a better ground won't bring new fans in, given that Wycombe's support jumped 50% when they did just that in the early 90s.
