More importantly, what players would you suggest he used in this conventional 4-4-2?

Robson-Kanu is a non-conventional forward, Henry is playing like shit, Mcanuff is injured, Antonio is another one that is too inexperienced... that leaves Kebe as the only truly wide player at the club.


Royallee is spot on when states that Rodgers has played the best 4-4-2 he can with the available players.

Two thoughts:-

Firstly, anyone who says or infers that they didn't realise that Royal Lady meant "conventional" 4-4-2 when she said 4-4-2 is surely being deliberately obtuse?

We played well and we on top limiting them to few chances, but that's bollocks. We scored two goals from set pieces for crying out loud! They had a better scoring chance in open play than we did in the first half and Cummings hooked it off the line.

We played well and we on top limiting them to few chances, but that's bollocks. We scored two goals from set pieces for crying out loud! They had a better scoring chance in open play than we did in the first half and Cummings hooked it off the line.

Did Rasiak not also have one cleared off the line? We had loads of chances in the first half like where Church went through on goal for example, when Rasiak scuffed his shot wide and a few headers. They had one challenge in bair where the ball bounced clear and it broke between two players, Cummings was closer and cleared. Hardly a better scoring chance and it was pretty much the only sight of goal they had whereas we dominated territorially and should have had more.
