Baines It's pretty clear that Royalee should apologise. And, if he doesn't, Schards should demand an apology.

Or, as Royalee was deemed sexist, should Royalee demand an apology from Schards?

but does Schards have the right to deem Royalee sexist when Royalee's comment was aimed at RL, maybe RL should demand an apology from Schards for false and misrepresentative deeming

You're confusing the issue, and you've already been shown to be on Royalee's side.

Frankly, I think that you should apologise to Schards as well. (I absolve you of any need to apologise to me for the time being.)

It's good that we've started to clear house.

Hopefully it will prevent Zac accusing Schards of racism again.

Yes of course, you are right.

I apologise, Schards, for interpreting your posts on the Team board as an invite into a discussion regarding the complexities of the 4-4-2 formation and how it affects the Reading FC team.

Also regardless of any absolution, I also apologise to Baines for inducing this rare involvement in a team board thread and any pain caused thereof.

what mystifies me is how often Zac plays the race card when he is a 100% white boy with all the privileges that entails

The only answer to that is in his heart.

Royalee We played the best 4-4-2 we could have done with the players available. McAnuff was still injured, Kebe is shit as he demonstrated when he came on and missed a sitter to add to his growing collection and I think Robson-Kanu has a knock. It certainly worked first half as we tore them apart, we just switched off defensively second half.

Don't dodge the question, did we play a conventional 4-4-2 or not?

A simple yes or no will do.

No one said Conventional 4-4-2 until you ran into the thread to defend your wife.

Royal lady said we have dumped the 4-4-2. No use of the word conventional.

Royallee said "no we haven't"

You said "When did we play the conventional 4-4-2??"

See the problem here?

More importantly, what players would you suggest he used in this conventional 4-4-2?

Robson-Kanu is a non-conventional forward, Henry is playing like shit, Mcanuff is injured, Antonio is another one that is too inexperienced... that leaves Kebe as the only truly wide player at the club.

Royallee is spot on when states that Rodgers has played the best 4-4-2 he can with the available players.

Two thoughts:-

Firstly, anyone who says or infers that they didn't realise that Royal Lady meant "conventional" 4-4-2 when she said 4-4-2 is surely being deliberately obtuse?

Secondly, Rodgers has played the best 4-4-2 he can with the available players precisely because he hasn't built the squad to be strong in a "conventional" 4-4-2 formation.

and why should he?

Simple fact, those calling for us to play a conventional 4-4-2 to fix the problems NOW are doing so in vain. Because it simply wouldn't work.

I suggest he plays 1-9 for the watford game - get everyone behind the ball and little Noel Hunt up front, just in case.

My arse did we.

We played well and we on top limiting them to few chances, but that's bollocks. We scored two goals from set pieces for crying out loud! They had a better scoring chance in open play than we did in the first half and Cummings hooked it off the line.

Did Rasiak not also have one cleared off the line? We had loads of chances in the first half like where Church went through on goal for example, when Rasiak scuffed his shot wide and a few headers. They had one challenge in bair where the ball bounced clear and it broke between two players, Cummings was closer and cleared. Hardly a better scoring chance and it was pretty much the only sight of goal they had whereas we dominated territorially and should have had more.
