Cheers Strap, that's great. What was the crowd at EP that night?

Great video's Strap. Have you got the video of the game where Alan Pardew returned to Reading as West Ham manager?

Or Reading's victory at Maine Road ( Man City ) in 1998?

Thanks.

Strap will probably have the answer but I'd reckon something like 15,500. I remember being in a long queue with my mates outside the ground cursing because it was gone 8:00 o'clock and we thought we'd miss much of the first half because there were loads of people outside.
I think the game started at something like 8:15/ 8:30 in the end.

Currist! Strap Thank You!

That has to be the first time that I've seen that...since that very night over 21 years ago.

If the hoops ever have to go...that is the shirt that we have to have (loved that one, and was my first ever "replica" purchase)

It certainly was packed, I remember being in a crush in the Tilehurst end.

Nice one, Strap, I enjoyed watching that clip!

Man Friday Playoff semi against Wigan. The Stadium has never experienced such electric atmosphere from when we got to 1-1 until the end of the match.

Agreed. Best atmosphere at Mad Stad ever.

Yes I was in there as well and could barely see Gilksey's penalty. There were a couple of Coventry fans who were in there as well and were very good-humoured at the end. They were desperate to get back to Wembley again after the FA Cup Final win against Spurs the previous season.

Thaumagurist* Depends on what you mean by real stadia.

We don't exactly play subbuteo at the Madejski Stadium, do we?

Are you really that stupid or are you just the ultimate fisherman?

Bit of a request here.

Has anyone got a video of the Tranmere play-off semi final first leg?

Thanks.

I think Tamworth Royal has my live recording, and for some reason there are no highlights on the end of season vid. Will try lookign at my recording of the P/O FInal and see if they showed at least the S/F goals in the build up.

Im going to have to be boring and say Doyles moment of glory. Never seen a group of fans go so mental and never will again.

Other contenders:

harpers goal at Boro
Lita v palace
Sidwell v Middlesbrough )(strangely got more excited by our second than Litas winner in that one, probably because once we got the second you could see the third coming)
Cureton at Brentford (that ball seemed to hang in the air for about half an hour)
Going one up against chelsea at home 2007-08 season, Bikeys goal.

Nice to see our visit to Maidstone also on the site. Quite forgotton the magic of Irving Gernon actually scoring a goal....

By the way why did they film out Simod game with Coventry from the Norfolk Road Stand damn irritating supports in the way - still its proper football not the SKY led plastic revolution we've had to suffer for 20 years so who cares.

Strap, I will have your children. Wonderful stuff. 87/88 was my first season on the Southbank aged 11/12, but I couldn't do the Cov game because it was on a school night. Looked absolutely awesome. A few things to note:

- The Coventry fans surge on the terracing and Speedie jumping on the perimeter fencing after scoring - seems like a different world.
- Players just hanging around in the centre circle during the shootout, with no ghey huddle
- The entire Southbank outrunning Gilkes back to the tunnel. Christ he must have been knackered.

The only video I've seen taken from the North Stand side, shows the Southbank in all it's glory for those that never had the pleasure.

20th january 2006 springs to mind. we go 1 down away at selhurst park in the 79th minute and for a moment it looks like our long unbeaten run might come to an end to coppell's other team

then in the 81st minute harps equalises. Pandemonium!
