We've had BR as manager for a couple of months after the greatest manager and most success we've ever had at this club and you're comparing us to about 5 years of complete idiotic running of a club that attracts 50,000 (not 15,000) who sacked, i repeat sacked a manager who had just got them qualified for the champions league.

Because that is how he wants it, much the same as selling land, then having covenants put on it, may not be right, but tough on the buyer, take it or leave it.

Interesting that in many other sales the fit and proper test has happened after a sale has completed.

Why the delay until Xmas ? It seems odd that if the deal has been agreed right up until the fit and proper test they don;t just conclude it rather than wait another 3 months for no apparant reason.

SJM has always said as and when he sold it would be for the best for the club. It would follow along those lines that he would want these checks done prior to any sale to ensure there are no hidden problems (a la Notts County).

I too have heard that talks are much more progressed than previously thought, could well explain the lack of a financial statement too. If you were buying a company would you want the finances to be public knowledge when they didn't need to be?
