facaldaqui Howard. Even the Hobnobbers wouldn't be so crass as to pick on Siggurdsson. But I think Siggurdsson is also capable of scoring some goals from midfield.

Well he's got two this season already and nearly got a third at the weekend.

I'll give you some respect for that, but we both know Rodgers dropping someone could mean anything.

Just watched the highlites on the BBC website, who set up the second goal with a quality through ball.... Oh Howard. Who nearly rapped the game up with some quality running and step overs in the second half, which was scrambled away...Oh Howard

He's not. Definitely Karacan with the pass(clearance?) to Kebe for the goal.

Howard hit the first long pass/clearance which was headed back and then Karacan beat Howard to the ball to send it long again.

So Karacan then.

Not sure why LR22 brought assists into a conversation about goals...

I look at this way, he is doing a job that is certainly no worse than what Harper had been doing and he is costing less wages. Therefore he is providing better value for money ;)

What a daft comment.

Howard is doing a completely different job to the one Harper was or would've been doing. If you'd said the same about Karacan, or even Gunnarsson or Cisse then you'd probably have a point.

I'm just not impressed with Howard, because he hasn't done anything to impress me in the three games I've seen him. Nor has he really produced anything tangible.

Siggurdsson on the other hand has and should be in the team ahead of him. Although I can't help but wonder if Rodgers is planning on keeping Howard in for the time being and swapping Gunnar in for Siggy away and vice versa.

"Hadn't have got in the way", surely.

Discuss.

And you lot complained bitterly about how crap James Harper was. I hope you are all satisfied. Is he really the best attacking midfielder this club has on its books or is it because Big Watch Man is already selecting his favourites?
