Anyone who lets Peter Crouch score deserves to be rubbish and not going to the World Cup.

Anyone who can't spell the name of a country that his own nation is playing after seeing it written down countless times on TV and in his daily copy of The Times doesn't deserve me responding to his messages.

Oh

Thought Belarus were good value at 0-1 down (and looked the likliest to go on win) until "MOM" Victorias boy came on.

Johnson, yet again compromised by second rate opponents, Fosters sublime second half save kept the momentum going.

LOL at Michael Owen being in the "maybe 2010" enclosure

Yeah, Johnson is way too casual on the ball for my liking, got caught out far too much.

Has Posh kicked Becks out, hence the 'rough sleeper' chic?

Fair enough (he did fairly well actually when coming on like Milner)

Lawro and that Irish twit had a good chuckle about it on BBC 5Live... Had an utterly un-funny exchange about Beckham having a loan spell at Sunderland. They seemed to enjoy it though.

Idiots

Alan Green? :x

I watched the Ireland game on ESPN last night. Their colour commentator - Tommy Smyth - is a miracle in misinformation. Sooooooo annoying. I am beginning to suspect that Irish commentators are among the worst out there.

Another well worked win.

Score ealry goal, cruise it. Cappello makes this look so easy.

I promised myself that I'd never believe in England again. Fabio's winning me over.

Classic Becks, still looks better than all our other wide players.

I know Cappello was trying something different, but would have really liked to see Milner start...

Made me laugh that ITV tried showing clips of why Beckham was MOM - all they could find were 4 or 5 passes that were long/direct of which only 1 went to the player

Agreed TBM. He did a couple of ok passes when he first came on, did nothing for 20 mins and then scuffed a shot against the post. Best bit was his 'highlight' of crossing the ball straight to a defender with absolutely no mention of Barry's 40 yard pinpoint pass onto his toe.

He got it for the beard, and rightly so. Not enough beards in football anymore.

You wouldn't have thought the "one week into an al-Qaeda training camp" look would be that fashionable in USA would you.

Nice to see Mellberg scoring twice for the Swedes (although I'm not sure if he's had a date with a razor or not recently).

Spot on. I was trying to explain this to my house mate and he was having none of it.
