Wouldn't you know it

Is there any chance of Rodgers figuring out which of our players he actually rates anytime soon? We going to achieve absolutely sh*t-all without a bit of continuity. He's had long enough to assess the players and to determine which system and which personnel are our best bet. I'm in favour of having Matejovsky back in the side, but more than that I'd just like Rodgers to show some consistency in his team selection. Every week it's shuffling the pack with several more changes that completely defy prediction and, more often than not, any appearance of logic. The whole sorry charade is bound to be breeding frustration in the players and a lack of confidence in the manager's ability. He doesn't look like he has any genuine confidence in his own judgement.

'Greed. He should be just like Coppell, pick his favourite 11, and ignore everyone else.

Revisionist.

At least Coppell had a pecking order in his squad rather than just throwing players into the first team from not having even been in the squad for weeks, out of desperation.

In our most important match of the year? You're right it was pathetic from Coppell.

Excellent. One game for Coppell, 12 for Rodgers.

Coppell had been able to jusge his squad for 4 years beforehand, that's what makes it so much worse.

I'm sorry, but you're a cock. And it's completely impossible to have any sort of rational discussion with you right now.

Go away and suck some more Rodgers cock.

You're the one descending into pathetic personal attacks m8.

And because I don't agree with you I'm a twat am I, interesting. Just because everybody else is slagging this club off left, right and centre doesn't mean I have to.

I'm not saying Rodgers is perfect, but I also don't think he deserves the level of abuse he's getting.

I'd side with you w_r, if I could find even a chink of light from the first 13 games of this season. Just one positive, something I can attach to our manager and say 'he's done that well'. But I can't. He is turning to Marek because he doesn't know where else to go (and maybe read his CV), nothing more than that.

Umm.....TBH I'm struggling too.

This isn't supposed to be me condoning Rodgers' actions, but I am fed up with this witch hunt TBH.

Where would you like us to go and moan then? At the game perhaps?

Heaven forbid Mr Rodgers thought we were all 100% behind him and his world class model. You earn respect - he's not earned mine.

Not respecting him is one thing.
Not agreeing with him is another.
But being as abusive as some posts recently is, IMO, uncalled for.

(Not aimed at any Nobber in particular).

Anyone congratulating Brendan Rodgers on doing a good job is probably deluded, but anyone who doesn't at least acknowledge that he's got the poisoned challice of coming into the club at a time when we've been forced to get rid of our best players, have little money to replace them and has to use those limited resouces to satisfy fans who've just witnessed the best four years in the clubs history is just as deluded.

Steve Coppell got out at just the right time.

It's only being considered a poisoned chalice because of how we've done under Rodgers. It had the potential to be an excellent chance to build a strong young team with only a couple of strong new players in.

It was the oppotunity for a fresh start and a fresh approach where supporters expectations were relatively low and patience is a given at the club.

I'm not saying we were left in a strong position. But we were left in one which could easily have been made comfortable with the right approach. Unfortunately I also cannot think of a single thing Rodgers has got right without subsequently undoing all of the good it brought and pilling woes on top of it.

I know that feelings are running high at the moment, but I think an apology is required there.

Do you see the bit at the beginning?

"I'm Sorry" is generally considered to be an apology, so taken care of it already.

But what is the right approach?

Stick with the tried and tested? Yep, tried that one under Coppell and that didn't work.
Make use of the youngsters coming through? Rodgers tried that one. It hasn't worked either, they haven't been up to the job.
Try a different formation? No, the team don't seem able to cope with that one either.
Keep the same team week after week in the hope that they eventually click? Yeah, I can really see that one going down well if we stick with the team that's losing.

It just seems an impossible position for anyone.
