Harpers So Solid Crew Over the years Leeds fans have been more vocal and passionate about their club, then again they live in a big city, have many local rivals and played in the top league for a long time, passion is fine, but thuggery and unpleasantness that they exude is not very nice.

They do? Sheffied is like 35 miles away, Doncaster the same and not really deemed a local rival. Same for Barnsley.

No different to Reading having Watford, QPR and London teams around us. What's our excuse...?

Regarding thuggary and other such unpleasantries. I clocked a number of Leeds games when I lived up there. Saw no trouble what so ever, even against Cardiff and Millwall, and I was expecting some. The fans aren't as thuggish as made out. But what you do get is pride and passion every week. It seems to mean more to them than, say, us. Our support is so unbelievably nice, it's actually too pleasant.

Deathy Part of the appeal when I was a young'un was norty chants, and that aggressive nature in the stands. Now look at what we put up with each week. Mums and their kids eating hot dogs and drinking big fat cokes. The occasional clap or boo.

Millwall/Leeds fans 100 million x > Reading fans.
BF, so how do you know what Leeds were singing?

That's a seriously dumb comment

Says a serial clapper.
It's football, not the fcking theatre.

You haven't got the faintest idea how I support my team. I was going to games before you were even born.

I've been to Millwall a good 8-10 times and to Leeds 5-6 and, as any away fans, every visit has been unpleasant and intimidating. I've been spat at, had things thrown at my, been threatened and everything i've ever seen suggests that these two sets of supporters are among the 3-4 most vile sets in the country as well as the most racist.

If that sort of rubbish gets your rocks off then I can see why you think their fans are far better than ours. Personally, i'll take the more civilised average reading fan every day of the week.

I’m not sure who’s opinion on football supporters I take the most seriously, the retarded Jay or the City fan who has a season ticket with his wife at Reading.

Big Foot Nothing to do with the Leeds fans waving Ferencvacos flags and singing about Ferencvacos to Millwall then?

Not mentioned in the paper. In retaliation mebee? Leeds did throw seats back, so fair fucks.

That's pretty quick retaliation, they did well to manage to go out, buy the flags, then get back into the ground to wave them at the Millwall fans!

"The papers shouldn't really be reporting on this kinda thing so much as they do whilst we have a World Cup bid underway."

What a load of nonsense, the paper's shouldn't report news when it happens.

Shirley this chaps entitled to wear whatever he damn well pleases to a game and this is another example of the authorites clamping down on innocent fans :!:

They don't, they have a vast control over what is and isn't deemed "newsworthy"

Legal opinion on the matter suggests that he could be pen to a charge of inciting violence for the stabbing gestures.

But certainly any ban should only come after he has been tried by the courts and found guilty - not just because his picture has been in the paper.
