Just spoken to a colleague who's a Charlton season ticket holder about Mooney, and although he hasn't been to see them for a couple of months due to a new baby, he thinks he's just made one sub appearance but looked alright from what he remembers. But then if he HAS only made one sub appearance it doesn't bode well I'd say.

As I said earlier, he's made two.

Coming on in the 89th minute of one game and the 75th (I think) of the other.

And again, Charlton aren't exacly struggling so don't have a pressing need to introduce him to the line up.

And he's probably shite.

Just because Coppell didn't rate him enough to play him last season and instead sent him on loan. (remember we didn't need a striker before Xmas, so he was actually gone most of the time we would have needed him iirc). Rodgers has hardly covered himself in glory with his team selections and again, the player is on lona so not available to be picked currently.

Just not a good enough reason to judge him as "mince".

Rodgers was asked at the forum about Mooney, he gave a look as if to say 'because he's shit' before politely saying 'we'll see'.

Rodgers pulling a slightly odd expression is just you trying to find ways to justify an opinion that isn't based on very much at all by the sounds of it to me.

Besides, this is the same Rodgers that rates Cisse as highly as Matejovsky and has played Long on several occasions.

Didn't say I think Bignall is the answer, he quite clearly isn't, but if we were to rely on those within the club I'd rather it was Bignall because at least he has some raw talent.

Without wading through pages, what would be wrong in playing a 442 with a central pairing of Church and Hal Robson Kanu? If nothing else, HRK's pace will give defences a headache.
