If it's true it's a real shame - they're fighting against lack of resources, not lack of management ability.

I don't suppose anyone still has a link to all the shite the 'boro chairman came out with when we were interested in Ferguson? I'm pretty sure it won't have included any plans to bin him a third of the way through the season?

So that's Barnsley,Peterborough and Middlesborough and Plymouth have brought in Mariner as no.2 in readiness for when Sturrock goes(possibly for health reasons).
This division is renowned for managerial sackings so Keane,Rodgers and Coleman must be wondering who will be next.

Coleman is definitely going soon - has got no friends in the boardroom at the Ricoh.

Pretty ridiculous really - back to back promotions, they were always going to struggle and he's building.

Back to back pomotions, limited funds and resources and he gets the sack.

Amazing, who would be a manager?

Good. The only bad thing would be if we sacked Rodgers and replaced him with him.

 LOL @ sacking a manager who has just taken you to two successive promotions. They have goals in that team of theirs and given that Reading are already down they only had to finish above two other teams in order to have enjoyed a successful season.

I would guess at a break down in manager/board relationship after Reading's attempts to poach in the summer and Ferguson's stated desire to talk to us. He's free now so boot Rodgers out and bring Fergie in!

That Friday Feeling Was he expected to deliver a third straight promotion season?

The Posh Local Rag The sooner the summer comes to a close and the new season starts, the better, so we can get on with achieving our aim of a third promotion campaign!

It would appear that MacAnthony (maybe) wasn't joking when he said this...

I am behind Brendan at the moment but if we lose a couple of games in succession - Fergie it is!

I want Brendan to succeed actually and worry that a change would not be good for us.
