Yep - I wouldn't be unhappy with that - Rodgers out and Fergie in - may just get us out of this mess!!

Ferguson sacked by Peterboro

by peterroyal76 » 09 Nov 2009 20:38

I'm not sure where this thread belongs although I'm sure it will be moved to the correct place. :?
Darren Ferguson has been sacked by Peterboro, I bet they wish they had let him go and took some compensation from us if we did appoint him. Do we know if he or Brendan were the clubs first choice?
Could this influence our board if results don't continue to improve?
I think his sacking is a bit harsh considering he took them to two promotions.

Didn't their chairman give it the big one when we went sniffing?

He'll get another job in league one when the next vacancy comes up.

Wonder who they've got lined up?

No, no and no again. I would refuse to go if we had a Ferguson in charge.

What difference can the Oxford United manager do, than one who has worked with them form some time and won them back to back promotions couldn't?

This is a crazy sacking.

I honestly can't see anyone who will do a better job than D. Ferguson with the players that are at the club. Survival would of been a great achievement for them with players who are over achieving for that club. Relegation is a greater possibility for Posh now.

So a manager that has achieved nothing is favourite to take over from one that took them up twice, madness.

Anyone think that when he signed the 4 year deal he was told there was going to be money available, however now it has been withdrawn, adn he wanted a couple of new faces in the window, only to be told no, or at least yes, so long as they are within the budget, which is beggar all.

Well, one club is going to benefit from this lunacy - whoever Ferguson manages next

Ludicrous sacking - Peterborough's wage bill is in the lowest 3 in the CCC, so no surprises that they're not doing well.

DF is clearly getting sacked for not working miracles.
