Which is relevant only if Cudicini was riding a 50cc moped, which he wasn't.

Very nasty accident...be lucky to play again.

Didn't Matt Jansen suffer a bike crash and that ruined his career a few years back?

Yeah, think that was on a moped in Italy, fractured his skull and nearly killed him. Didn't end his career, but he was pretty shit after that.

Souness said that when he came back to play you could tell he'd lost something as before he'd get the ball and already know what he'd be doing next and after he'd get the ball and then decide what to do. Only a split second difference but enough to stop you playing at the top level and I guess mentally that was difficult to get over for Jansen.

A Spurs spokesperson has said it could've been Cech or Cudicini next time bring a third goalie.

He was on the verge of an England call-up when it happened as well. Big shame, always liked him.

Amazing that he was riding a bike, I thought most footballers were banned from doing that (plus things like going skiing) as part of their contracts. I recall a well known player (although not his name) saying that when he retired his biggest aim was to get a big bike and ride it as he'd not been able to do so whilst playing.

Worst possible injury for a keeper (OK, broken back would be tough too !) - two broken wrists will be hard to return from. He's also going to struggle to wipe his own backside for a few months.

What was the name of the Plymouth Keeper that died after a bike crash? It was the keeper Quinn scored the great winner past at Elm Park in The Championship year.

David Batty IIRC. Have seen him at British & World Superbikes @ Brands Hatch, is a huge bike fan.
Ian Wright ponces around on a Harley but that's more to do with him trying (and failing) to be cool.

Contracts don't specifically exclude bikes, but do exclude any activity which could endanger fitness...so by implication does.
