I'll refer you to the second part of my statement - the Peterborough squad that is currently in the bottom 3 is pretty much the same squad that won the promotions - hence why they're struggling.

Whilst we may not have any money to buy players in January, I'd say we're a more attractive prospect for potential loanees that Peterborough.

Royal Lady talks some truth, Peterborough have struggled all season, appointing him would be very similar to Rodgers, young manager, loads of potential, little relevant track record.

Royal Lady Who is that manager who just left Notts County after only 7 weeks in charge?

Why is everyone getting excited about Darren Ferguson - didn't he get sacked from Peterborough, because they weren't doing very well?? What's the difference between us and Peterborough?? Esp if we have no money to give a new manager for January. :|

about 10,000 fans, shit loads of infrastructure, a bit more money and better players.

Harpers So Solid Crew well well well.

Phil Parkinson please, with Murts as assistant.

That's if we cannot get Ferguson.

The Higher Management team, in their wisdom, will have burnt their bridges with Murts.

Ideal My "manager for Xmas" wish list:
1. Coppell
2. Tisdale
3. Ferguson
4. Parkinson
5. Laws (yes, I know he was sacked by Sheff. Wed but he did well there on really limited resources IMHO)

LOL

I just said "if we have no money to give a new manager for January" and if we've got better players, where have they been hiding?

TBH I doubt anyone could do a worse job than Rodgers has so far - and if it turns out we have Ferguson, I'll not moan, I just don't understand why so many people want him when he's done nothing in the Championship of note and is another manager with relatively little experience.

I wanted Curbishley last time - so I'd welcome him - but I doubt he'd want to come, knowing our constraints.

Parkinson isn't the man for us - though if he were assistant manager, it would be good - but that's hardly likely to happen.

I have a feeling we will live to regret this.....

Best of luck to Rodgers and good luck to the poor mug who takes over next.

I think we shouldn't get too excited, whoever comes in, tbh - we shouldn't expect too much now - maybe safety from relegation, anything else higher up the league is a bonus this season I'd say.

Well we will have some money in January, even if it is only in getting rid of that massive luxury -> Matejovsky.

We have plenty of better players. If you can't see it I'm not wasting my time spelling it out to you.

I fear you may be right. I made no secret of my support for Rodgers and belief that he would become a very good manager. Now he's gone then my choice, for a quick fix, would be Ian Dowie.
