ALOL the best player to play for Reading in the modern age isn't even on the list. How quickly people forget Steve Sidwell

If its a case of a player that sums the club up over the last decade then there is no option other than Murty.

Harper, underrated. Was there from the start almost until the last. Great attitude, professionalism, nice guy and had a lot of talent. Not necessarily the best ( sidwell, shorey and doyle beat him there) but for me he summed up what we were as a club. Enthusiastic, energetic, tenacious, spirited with a bit of quality. Our promotion was founded on those values. A player growing up who i'll never forget.

As I think I've posted before; one Saturday morning, when we were flying high in the Prem, I found Harper having breakfast in Asda and signing the odd autograph. Terrific bloke.

The poll isn't for the " best" players - its "if you had to pick 1 player to best sum up Reading in the 00's who would it be?"

Agreed he should be in the poll, but this isn't summed up on quality. He wouldn't be top 5 for me.
