Im lost for words. How our decline has been so quick. Madejski is a tosser, he sacked Brendan after signs of improvement and then put in a couple of no-bodys to move us backwards. I dont understand

Ian Royal One thing is certain, we have spectacularly messed up 4/5s of the last two and a half seasons, underperforming chronically.

five transfer windows in a row with us thinking "well, we look OK. We probably don't need to buy"

Maybe this defeat will be the wake-up call we need.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LET THIS BE RIGHT!

Ian Royal
hutch Ipswich 3--0 up now.

No real surprises in their turn around. Even when we were picking up the occasional win and they couldn't buy a win they were still looking like finishing above us at the end of the season.

They weren't really losing many. I had no doubt they'd pull away....

Ian Royal You could take the view that relegation would actually be good for us in the long run. We have a lot of very good youngsters, who if we can keep could potentially get us promoted straight back with a couple of useful additions and then start a Champ season with momentum and experience.

Equally staying up could be bad as we end up continually fighting relegation for the next few seasons without any real ability to build momentum to get back to the right end of the league.

One thing is certain, we have spectacularly messed up 4/5s of the last two and a half seasons, underperforming chronically.

I've been hearing about this crop of very good youngsters we have for a couple of seasons

Why don't we trying playing some of them?

the current lot are getting humped, again

We are playing two of them. Don't ask me why we're not playing Davies or Karacan.

Clubs about to self implode ...stand back chaps!

The ultimate humiliation is when London Irish take over the stadium and the football club are tenants!

Yes, this same group of players lost those games as well, hence my point. The manager can't solely be to blame.

Ark Royal Hope everyone is looking forward to renewing our derby with the Shite next season. This lot are going down.

Doubt it, Swindon are going up. 3 Divisions between us 2 seasons ago! Oh look 4-1, shock.

I am absolutely sick to death of this, what a fall from grace! Fortunately for me, my second team is Rochdale, so the prospect of them winning the league and a tie against them next season is mildly cheering me up.

Get a MANAGER in asap.

This may well force Madejski to put some money into the club. He's a businessman, and he knows what going down will do to Reading's value.

Appalling, and hardly suprising when one considers the appalling lack of pace in our defence.

BRING IN HODDLE.

Of course it isn't solely the manager's fault, but lets face it, we're where we are and things don't magically reset when someone new takes over.

QPR - Excellent, play-off chasing team.
Palace - Inspired by the brilliant Moses.

Plymouth - Shite.

It's not the supporters who need the wake up call. It's comatose Madejski and his pals! It sounds like their current plan is to further strengthen the squad and reaffirm the Chairman's Premier League ambition by shipping out a few more players in the forthcoming transfer window.

I hope this result ends all the stupid talk about making the play-offs and about McDermott becoming the new manager. Neither is remotely viable.
We desperately need a new manager. No more delays.

Was more directed at certain morons who assumed it was Rodgers 'big book of tactics' the fact he 'refused to play SSC's players' and his press conferences, that were the only thing keeping us from the playoffs. The same lot that screamed for 4-4-2 and to play it simple and that doing so would magically make it alright.

For the record I agree with you Ian :(
