A simaler situation to Southampton last season they played Man Utd in the 3rd round at home, lost 3-0 live on ITV. What happened to them at the end of the season?

I'm serious. Liverpool are poor at the moment but should still be confident enough to rest a few players. This is one game we will actually be up for and it comes after an absolute arsekicking at Plymouth so there's likely to be a reaction.
