Away fans ticket prices at Mad Satd

by Elm_Park_Royal » 03 Jan 2010 00:28

I dont know if anyone else tagged this but tonight a ticket for a Liverpool fan to get into the game was only £15. I cannot think of any explaniation for this other than Liverpool subbed the rest of the cost.

I am an employee at the stadium and they wanted £20 from me to watch the game this evening. For an away fan to be paying less than staff seems to me to be ridicilious. It just about typifies everything wrong with the club.

I am also assuming that normal home fans were spending £24/£26 on an adult ticket?

Any thoughts/comments.

BTW if that is the case then I hope Reading are willing to make the same gesture!

FWIW, season ticket holders paid £15. Everybody else paid £20 which as far as I was aware that went for Liverpool fans as well.

Liverpool fans paid £15 and £10.

We get back to the question as to why an employee should get special treatment. As you do nothave a ST you paid the same as other non ST holders, seems fair enough to me.

.

Surely someone claiming to be a member of staff thinking they should get cheap tickets is much more wrong ?
The vast majority of club employees work on match days anyway ....

And for someone claiming to be a member of staff to not know how much tickets were for the game is a bit odd.

Presumably you are a part time Academy coach or something ?

Tempted for the IN as I didn't get to go to the other 3 games up there, finances may prevent such a jaunt though :(

Don't know.
How many do you think we will take?
Barnsley took the whole stand the other year in the FA Cup.

I anticipate us to take a large following even though it is midweek. Hopefully the club will take the full allocation available to them as im sure lots of day trippers that missed out of visiting Anfield in our premiership seasons due to the royalty points system and smaller allocations made avaiable to us will want to visit Anfield now.
On that reasoning, i hope we take anything around 4500-5000. Maybe thats me being really optimistic, but hopefully we take a large following and really give the lads a good backing.

4500 - 5000...?! Are you having a bubble, I'd be surprised if we take more than 1200.

Yeah nowhere near sold out when we played them in the league cup. Will be very suprised if we sell out for this one.
Although if we do sell out, chin up if you're on the back couple of rows! Like watching football through a postbox - awful view.

Carling Cup game was a few days before the game in the league, would've put some people off. For this match there will be people (like me) who may have missed the opportunity to go to Anfield last time and won't make the same mistake again.

There are some dirt cheap train tickets about by the way, got £30 return from Bournemouth.

Shouldn't be a problem getting tickets now although it doesn't say on the club website what our allocation is.
