Is this the dawning of ...

by Royalwaster » 02 Jan 2010 21:31

... listening to BBCRB, it sounded like we'd won the game. Admittedly, I thought we played very well and I came away with a smile. But all this talk of ''We've turned a corner" made me cringe - we still only scored one goal and didn't really look like scoring another despite having most of the play. We've had many games like that this seasons - Scunny, Cardiff and Leicester - but our inability to score the goals ultimately cost us either the games or only earned us a draw. Can't really see that changing in the coming games and still think we'll be lucky not to go down.

Er...sorry...this WAS Liverpool and not Scunny or Plymouth. I don't remember Man Utd thrashing goals in from all over the pitch at them. get some bloddy perspective man.

Yes fine, but do you really think that this is it - that we'll now start scoring goals at home with ease?

We had 3 shots in the entire game

And Liverpool were as bad as anyone I have seen at the Mad Stad this season.

... with the exception of Burton Albion

Liverpool didn't turn up today, even if we played well. Same old story again, no forwards.

3 shots on target all game today. Against Boro we had to wait until the 90th minute for our first shot on target. We have really gone downhill since that oxf*rd got the boot. At least McD has a bit more savvy about him when it comes to interviews.

I love how you pick the one game this season when we haven't attacked.

Not like you either is it to pick one game in isolation. You have done that plenty of times. And I bet you winced at the reception for SSC.

No, it isn't. I took pity on those who were short-sighted enough to sing that they wanted Coppell back.
