Ferris I reckon it'll be Owen Coyle

I tihnk he will want to stay at Burnley but then a bit of money and who knows..plus being an ex player.

TBM Bolton are just the right team for Mark Hughes to manage.....the way he had Blackburn playing (tough) is just how Bolton can turn their season around, especially with the players they have there.

Hughes to be appointed before their next Premiership fixture i reckon.

Absolutley no chance at all. Mark Hughes has built a very good CV with Blackburn and Manchester City. He will have his sights set a lot higher than Bolton Wanderers.

'Greed...massive pay off from Man City, no pressing need for a job, he will sit on his branch in the Managerial Vulture Tree waiting for someone else's corpse to drop by before swooping in and picking over it. Hughes is on for a far bigger job than Noblot.

Megson has always struck me as an oaf devoid of any kind of personality whatsoever.

Looks like he's off to Bolton. You would be really pi55ed off as a Burnley supporter right now.

Shame as I quite like Burnley and the way they do things.

TBF the Burnley fans on SSN seem pretty grateful for everything he did for them and are wishing him well, while wishing he'd stay

Can understand it if Bolton have told him they are willing to spend in Jan, can't see Burnley spending.

LOL @ Burnley fans. If a manager who's done well for you leaves, you should proclaim your h8red for years to come.

I'll be curious to see how this goes. A guy who openly loves the club (though has little managerial experience) moving from a local-ish rival with a brief of recapturing recent glories and playing attractive, passing football. Seems vaguely familiar...

Surprisingly he felt the job was too big for him and wanted to go back at the peak of his management...

Barry Kilby Ideally he will be bright, youthful, up-and-coming and not entirely dissimilar to his predecessor. As much as we are disappointed to lose Owen there are always young, hungry, winning managers out there who want to take on a challenge and make their names.

That's up there with Bolton snatching Megson, in jaw-dropping appointments.

To say the least. Two days ago they were listing the bookies favourites for the job, and a certain Steve Coppell was missing. Maybe he'd already removed himself from the running, I don't know. But you have to smile, Burnley fans were hoping for Mark Hughes last week. A swift return to the Championship awaits.

Going for a manager that doesn't even get mentioned on here, where pretty much anyone who's ever owned a tracksuit with their initials on will do, would seem foolish
