That should sort out the RB problem for now. Bertrand, Mills, Ingimarsson and Griffin isn't a bad back 4 and the added experience should help us stop conceding poor goals.

Good signing.

Was this in the pipeline already, or has MaccyD tapped into his own personal stash of knowledge?

They always come out with some guff about "waiting til all the paperwork is signed and lodged with the librarians at the FA" when in reality we all know that the person doing the updates has gone for the longest dump in the world.

Are you talking about the Farringdon Griffin?

If so you are entirely correct.

Good player. Reliable, cool head, experianced.

This is very much another Chris Makin.

Happy!

I expect that I'll also be drunk whenever I watch Andy Griffin as well.

Amen to that, although I doubt Andy Griffin will be walking around the stadium with an empty pint glass before games.

Honestly, I hope he brings a bit more to us than Makin. Maybe I'm being greedy.

Maybe a little. Makin never let us down, and that's all we surely want from Griffin? He's not a kid, he wont become a top class player.

He's steady, reliable, hard working, a grafter. Just what we need IMO.

Very happy with this. It adds another cool and experienced head to our back line, which is what we need. That will hopefully allow us much more licence to play only one of Ivar / Pearce (preferably Pearce) or if necessary Cisse & Mills.

If we play Griffin, Ivar and Pearce I may start considering McDermott needs shooting though. That would have very worrying pace and mobility issues for me.

On the face of it a good signing although he ain't played much football recently.

Why no announcement on the OS?
