MOTM for greatest match ever played this season

I would go for Gunnarsson. He may throw like a wimp but in the last 20 mins and ET, he was brilliant esp. against Insua. Kudos to Bertrand for his hardworking attitude and countless clearance-s.

Reading FC - We're by far the greatest team,The world has ever seen.

Yep, Bryn for me too.

Was a bit bemused by SSC choosing Ivar.

I really couldn't pick anyone. Gunnarsson was immense for an older, sluggish, central midfielder at right back against one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Liverpool were just so toothless and we really should have won 3 or 4-1 in normal time.

That is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the 5 biggest and most important results in our history.

The spirit in the team was just incredible. Same old problems, a softish goal to conceed and failure to convert our chances. By that was incredible and I hope it turns our season round. McDermott is a genius. I was seriously worried by him playing the same team.

Rafa surely must go now though!?

Fedders was also pretty handy tonight, didn't struggle once, although that could have been down to Liverpool's terrible finishing.
Bertrand's, on the other hand...

Have to say I like the idea of promoting from within - a kind of footballing dynasty.

Who was the club who used to do that? Oh yes, the one we've just beaten

Definitely Gunnarson on the night.

Good to see Long do some mega-defending for his brief time on the pitch, as well as scoring from open play

LOL, i can't believe his performance tonight - that was someone else in his shirt. That ball was better than any beckham cross in 2009 lol.

What do you call that little jinky backheel to himself before the nutmeg? Is there a football term for that move?

Fantastic performance all round, but Gun stuck out for me, too.

Another few worthy mentions:
Sigurdsson's penalty... How cooly was that done?
McAnuff's "world-class" run through the middle... WTF?!
Church's work-rate... 120 minutes of non-stop running.
Long's appearance... Won a penalty and scored a goal. Start on Saturday?

Don't forget Ingi, he deflected an early chance that would have been a goal for the Reds and galvanized the back line tonight.
