Meanwhile, back in the studio, Steve Coppell went for one of his favourites who he rarely dropped as we sank without trace from the Premiership and tossed away a swift return to the top flight.

Apparently, Ivar was tonight's man of the match, as he probably was in Steve's eyes the day we let in 7 at Portsmouth only for the entire defence to keep their places for the next match

Reading wouldn't have got a day like this with Coppell in charge sadly, he wasn't a cups man when here. I shudder to think of the team he'd have named tonight.

Since Fergie jnr has gone elsewhere there is no one else out there in Reading's sort of bracket that is worth bringing in now. Mcdermott may as well have the job till the end of the season.
